Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for identifying, planning, developing, and delivering Callen-Lenz capability demonstrations, both in the UK or Overseas, either in the form of static displays and exhibitions, and/or flying demonstrations. The ability to plan and execute such events is key to shaping and driving the Callen-Lenz Business Development strategy and delivery across the full range of Callen-Lenz products and capabilities. This role is for an experienced Project Manager with strong sector knowledge, and proven ability to project manage and deliver capability demonstration events.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and delivery of Callen-Lenz's capability demonstration activities and static displays, in the UK and overseas, including identification and management of associated risks and opportunities.
  • Plan and lead each capability demonstration activity as a discrete project, with responsibility and accountability for performance to cost, schedule, and quality parameters.
  • Develop and maintain a set of standard operating procedures for capability demonstrations to drive commonality, consistency, and efficiency wherever practicable.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and work alongside the Business Development team to build long-term relationships with key influencers and decision-makers across the customer community.
  • Work with Business Development to actively support the development of Campaign Plans and Influence Plans with a focus on capability demonstration activities.
  • As required, to support Business Development activity, including contributing to bids, proposals, and client presentations.
  • As required, act as Project Manager for other projects and activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Health & Safety
  • Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate Risk Assessments to cover both generic capability demonstration risks and also risks specific to particular activities.
  • Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
  • When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.

Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

Desirable: Formal Project Management qualification (e.g. APM PMQ, PRINCE2 etc) or a commitment to work towards it would be advantageous for this role.

Essential:
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance in day-to-day work, and driving similar standards across peers and teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels within the business.
  • Demonstrable experience of successful delivery in an operational trials or demonstration environment, and thorough understanding of the specific demands and challenges in such an environment.
  • Proactive, independent and with a strong sense of ownership in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Well-connected across the UAS customer domain, with the ability to influence and help shape requirements.
  • Practical experience and understanding across the UAS domain and associated requirements, with particular focus on UK Defence and NATO.

Desirable:
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
  • Understanding of international shipping and export control.
  • First Aid Qualification.

  • A full valid UK driving license.
  • Ability to hold Security Clearance - 5 years residence in the UK.
