RCT Strategic Projects delivers a diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes across Rhondda Cynon Taf, including highway infrastructure, transportation improvements, land reclamation, drainage, and flood risk management.
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to join our team and support the delivery of a wide range of exciting and challenging projects - from small local improvements to major infrastructure schemes.
The successful candidate will lead projects through all stages of development, acting as the client representative from initial feasibility and consultant procurement through to contractor appointment, construction, and project completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and to a high standard.
You will be joining a supportive, collaborative team that values openness, professional integrity, and shared problem-solving. We work closely with colleagues across the Council, external partners, and local communities, and we take pride in delivering projects that make a tangible difference across RCT. The team encourages continuous learning, constructive challenge, and a practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery.

This is a permanent, full-time role based on a 37-hour working week under the Council's flexible working hours scheme. The post offers a hybrid working arrangement, with time split between our Pontypridd office and working from home. You will be provided with a laptop to enable a hybrid working arrangement.
