Location: Peterborough (Hybrid working available)

As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects safely, on time, and within budget-while embedding sustainability and driving efficient project outcomes across the programme.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of projects in line with programme, cost, and quality targets, proactively managing risks and opportunities
  • Attend site to gather information and translate insights into clear, value-added reports and presentations
  • Promote sustainability in both design and construction, focusing on reducing carbon, waste, and energy use
  • Coordinate project activities across design, construction, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards
  • Provide support to the Project Delivery Manager to ensure efficient project close-out and successful final account completion
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify challenges and drive continuous improvement in delivery

What You'll Bring
  • Experience supporting project delivery or coordinating complex activities
  • Willingness to travel across the region as required
  • A background in construction or infrastructure, with an interest in developing a career in project or commercial management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • A proactive and accountable approach, with the confidence to take ownership and drive performance
  • Good IT skills and openness to new technologies
  • Resilience, with the ability to maintain focus and performance in a fast-paced environment
