    Where will you be working?

    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This role will be within our infrastructure projects team. Our teams deliver large-scale programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

    What will you be doing?

    As our Assistant Project Manager you'll be accountable for ensuring projects run smoothly while meeting all client requirements. Working closely with the Programme or Project Manager. You'll oversee safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of works, including preparing RAMS, ensuring adherence to job packs, permits, and environmental standards, and maintaining full NRSWA compliance. Regular weekly reporting on project status is required alongside proactive management of customer issues, escalations, and stakeholder engagement with contractors and highway authorities.

    You'll be responsible for leading team performance, encouraging innovation, and sharing best practice across projects. This includes managing resources, plant, and materials, verifying competency and training, and ensuring all safety requirements are met through audits, PPE checks, and hazard reporting. Strong focus is placed on health, safety, environmental compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity at all times.

    In addition, you'll ensure accuracy and completeness of all project data, including audits, reporting, and system updates. Responsibilities include monitoring production rates, managing job priorities against SLAs, resolving issues, and maintaining water quality standards. Effective performance tracking, data integrity checks, and continuous improvement are key to driving successful delivery and compliance with contract standards.

    What you'll bring

    • Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction
    • Management training such as Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent
    • NEBOSH National Certificate (General or Construction)
    • SMSTS
    • Water hygiene
    • Street Work - NRSWA
    • Confined Space - Medium Risk Entry and Escape
