About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our growing team in London.

As a Project Manager you will be pivotal in leading IT projects to successful completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering technological advancements. This role contributes to enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation by managing critical IT projects from conception to completion

What you'll be doing
  • Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects, ensuring they are
    delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including resource allocation, timeline,
    and budget management.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely identification and
    resolution of issues.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders at all levels to ensure
    clarity and alignment on project objectives and progress.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment among project team members and
    stakeholders.
  • Make informed decisions that influence project outcomes, operating with a
    high degree of autonomy.
  • Handle complex challenges related to project scope and resources,
    requiring advanced problem-solving and adaptability skills.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal
    regulations.
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and processes within the
    organisation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced staff, enhancing team
    capabilities and performance
Who we're looking for
  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager within a large complex organisation
  • Leadership skills are crucial, with the ability to manage and inspire a project
    team.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to effectively liaise with both internal
    and external parties.
  • No specific client or sector-based additional requirements specified, but a
    broad understanding of IT applications in construction or related industries
