Avtron is the global leader is power test equipment and specialises in the manufacture of Dynamometers and Load Banks. Main Purpose of the Job

The Six Sigma Black Belt is a critical position within an organisation, servicing as a key driver of operational excellence and strategic improvement initiatives. By leveraging their expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, Black Belts help organisation achieve significant improvements in efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction, ultimately contributing to the overall success and competitiveness of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Improvement projects: Oversee and execute Lean Six Sigma projects aimed at optimising processes, reducing defects and enhancing quality across various departments.
  • Data analysis: Analyse data to identify root causes of operational issues and inefficiencies, employing statistical tools and methodologies to drive decision-making.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and coach Green Belts and project team members on Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.
  • Facilitate workshops: Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate staff on Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques, ensuring widespread understanding and application of these methodologies.
  • Performance monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project success and drive ongoing improvements in operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in process improvement, project management, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading successful improvement initiatives
  • Analytical skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • 6 Sigma certification and proven track record of running 6 Sigma projects
