Qualifications & Certifications
Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant engineering field from a recognized higher learning institution.
Experience
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years working experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with experience as a Deputy Project Manager and Project Engineer.
- Possess at least five (5) years experience at Management level.
- Preferably, completion of a minimum of two (2) EPCIC contracts.
- Proven track record in managing previous projects.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills.
- Solid technical knowledge with understanding and hands-on experience in projects.
- Possess good interpersonal skills and excellent client management and internal communication skills.
Skill / Attributes / Competencies
- Excellent English, both written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to influence and convince people.
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking skills and punctuality.
- Strong management and leadership skills and able to motivate people.

Main Responsibilities
- Review the overall project contract and requirements to clearly understand the project scope, expectations and deliverables.
- Strategize the execution plan of the project to ensure all key success factors and risks are incorporated in the plan.
- Establish and maintain appropriate channels of communication among project members to ensure important and accurate information is shared with the right personnel.
- Participate in safety initiatives and campaigns and inculcate a safety mindset and culture among project members and workers to enhance safety awareness and safe working environment and behavior.
- Manage project stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure they are provided with sufficient and accurate information about the project.
- Lead relevant project meetings either within the company or with clients to update and be updated on any major highlights of the project.
- Oversee and manage overall project resources to ensure the resources are adequate and available throughout the project cycle.
- Establish and maintain rapport with relevant parties including functional Heads of Department and Team Leaders to enhance working relationships and ensure smooth execution of the project.
- Oversee overall performance of the project team and provide relevant support and assistance to ensure performance is maintained.
- Perform other relevant duties within the capacity of the Project Manager to ensure project success.
- Provide leadership to the assigned project to ensure it is accomplished safely and with quality, within the agreed timeline and at the budgeted cost.
