What does this role involve day to day?

• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
• Procuring and managing suppliers, contractors, and professional service providers
• Coordinating and managing third-party design teams, ensuring they deliver against agreed programmes and project milestones
• Producing simple design concepts and solutions where required to demonstrate project outcomes before engaging specialist design teams
• Monitoring project costs and maintaining financial control throughout the project lifecycle
• Establishing and maintaining quality standards to ensure successful project delivery
• Ensuring JCB's health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld throughout project planning and execution
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Providing clear project updates and managing expectations across all levels of the organisation
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned and best practice implementation
• Travelling to JCB facilities and project locations as required

This will be suited to you if...
• You have proven project management experience within a construction environment
• You have a strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle, including risk management and contract administration
• You have experience delivering projects to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards
• You are confident planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources across multiple projects
• You have experience managing suppliers, contractors, consultants, and external design teams
• You possess strong leadership skills and can effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• You are an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
• You have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills and can confidently manage ambiguity and changing priorities
• You are highly organised with excellent time management and project coordination skills
• You have strong commercial awareness and financial management capability
• You have experience working within operational, industrial, or manufacturing environments, which would be advantageous
• You have experience using CAD or similar digital drawing software, or are willing to develop these skills
• An APM qualification or similar professional project management accreditation would be advantageous, but is not essential
