To support the NSG Programme Manager & Project Managers at the Egremont site in the estimations and delivery of projects in full compliance with the pre-determined standards of safety, quality, environmental and security and the conditions of contract

The Role
To support the NSG Programme Manager & Project Managers at the Egremont site in the estimations and delivery of projects in full compliance with the pre-determined standards of safety, quality, environmental and security and the conditions of contract
Key Objectives
Estimating & Project Delivery
Project Documentation
- Review ITT and Contract Data as part of the Bid-No Bid process before extracting data to obtain scope clarity and producing tendering data for submission to the prospective clients.
- Support Project Staff with the following tasks upon request.
- Input to the Project Management Plan, other strategy, high-level control and all associated project delivery-related documentation?
- Undertake studies and develop solutions to deliver the projects end point requirements.
- Support in the preparation of documentation to enable effective project delivery, to include;
- Method Statements
- Control Plans
- Risk Assessments (SQEP)
- LTQR documentation
- Lift Plans (SQEP)
- Management of project documentation in accordance with business processes & QSHEW.
Liaison and Support
- Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to identify services, plant and equipment required in support of the project to establish procurement plan to enable project delivery in accordance with the Programme.
- Liaise with procurement to ensure that all services, plant and equipment are procured in accordance with the company procedures.
- Liaise with supervisors to support the co-ordination and management of operatives and technicians to achieve the delivery against the Programme.
- Ensure and promote effective communication and working between disciplines to support the overall delivery of the project objectives.
- Support the Project Manager in the following activities:
- Management of all activities in accordance with the NSG QSHEW Management System and best practice.
- Provision of information to maintain the project programme.
- Provision of information on the costs to date and future costs.
- Identification and communication of project risks and opportunities.
- Stakeholder liaison and management.
- Sub-contract and supplier management and expediting.

- Understand the technical aspects of a project and develop design and engineering solutions with our in-house specialists or supply chain support as necessary.
Design and Engineering Documentation
- Consolidation and collation of design and engineering documentation for internal approvals and presentation to the client as necessary.

- Be aware of Company business plan and to promote NSG to ensure continuity of business within the context of that plan.
- Contribute to the development of business and success of current projects by the internal referral and communication of appropriate information and intelligence.

- Maintain effective working relationships across all Group, Company, Site and Function Heads.

Bid Support
Documentation
- Provide appropriate response to client or internal colleague enquiry and ensure completion of all necessary documentation as required by the NSG QSHEW Management System.
Tender and Contract Review Support
- Process tender and contract reviews through the provision of relevant and informed technical or commercial information as necessary. Liaise with suppliers to obtain accurate compliant quotes and lead times for tender submissions.
- Operate Microsoft Project Software to build a Costed and Resourced Programme which can also be used for project delivery.
- Issue Contract Data to our Legal Department for comment before consolidating into our tender submission.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a technical discipline - Desirable
- Membership of appropriate technical / professional body - Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent - Relevant training will be provided if required
Experience & Knowledge
- Understanding of the Project lifecycle and how projects are delivered within NSG - Essential
- Basic understanding of the UK Nuclear Industry - Essential
- Understanding of the radiological controls used within the type of projects delivered by NSG - Desirable
- Used to dealing with confidential and commercial information - Desirable
- Familiar with integrated management system operating procedures and requirements etc. - Desirable

- Competent user of MS Office and MS Project - Essential
- Able to organise and prioritise own work - Essential
