Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to establish and successfully co-ordinate and manage the necessary resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the client's satisfaction.
Candidates should have extensive project management experience on new build and fit-out type projects, preferably but not essential from a Marine fit-out background and a third level qualification in a related subject or experience in a similar Project Management role. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute with strong leadership and people management skills and the ability to negotiate and influence.
The role is predominately office based in Antrim, but as a Project Manager, there will be a requirement to travel to locations throughout the world to oversee project delivery.
Main duties will include:
• Develop a project plan and ensure the necessary resources are organised to meet the plan. Continually monitor progress and take all necessary steps to ensure the completion date is met.
• Develop a project budget and ensure the project is delivered within that budget.
• Ensure that all work is carried out to the client's specifications and ensure that all those engaged on site have up-to-date information and adhere to the project plan.
• Ensure that the project resources i.e. staff, labour, plant, materials, and sub-contractors are effectively managed.
• Liaise with clients and their agents to advise on progress and problem resolution as required.
• Ensure the Company Operations and Safety Management Procedures are implemented on the project.
• Ensure site administration systems are set up to accurately record and document site records.
• Ensure contractual conditions are adhered to and the contractual position is not compromised.
• Establish clear targets, reporting processes and procedures so that all reporting functions are working to consistent standards. Develop, maintain, and measure staff performance against these targets.
• Monitor the financial performance of the project using the Cost Value Report and take all necessary steps to minimise costs.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Extensive project management experience on new build and fit-out type projects, preferably but not essential from a Marine fit-out background.
• Excellent leadership, organising and communication skills
• Third level qualification in a related subject or experience in a similar Project Management role
• Ability to plan ahead and organise workload
• Sound commercial acumen, cost awareness and IT skills
• Ability to build and promote successful customer relationships
• Willing to travel as extensive travel throughout the UK will be required
