Head of Procurement

Location: Maidenhead, 2 days a week in the office, 3 from home
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa £70k - 75k per annum
Hours: Full time 37 hours per week, Mon - Fri

What You'll Be Doing

Weare seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead our global function andshape the future of procurement across the Commission. You'll overseeapproximately £30 million of non-pay spend and play a key role in ensuring weachieve value for money while maintaining strong supplier relationships androbust governance.
Reportingto the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you'll work with colleaguesacross our international operations to drive improvements in the way we buygoods and services. You'll lead major sourcing projects, negotiate high-valuecontracts and help strengthen procurement practices across the organisation.You'll look for opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and managerisk. You'll also help build stronger supplier management processes, use marketinsight to inform decision-making and support the delivery of our long-termstrategic objectives.
Thisis an influential role with plenty of space to make an impact. It offers thechance to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery while helping toshape procurement across a global organisation.

What You Need To Have

• Extensive procurement and supply chain management experience
• Experience leading procurement strategy across multiple regions or countries
• Strong commercial acumen and exceptional negotiation skills
• Significant experience operating at a senior leadership level
• A strong understanding of global procurement practices, supplier management and contract negotiation
• Knowledge of international trade regulations, compliance standards and procurement governance
• The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive organisational change
