Provide primary technical pre-sales support to Honeywell Productivity Solutions & Services partners and/or End Users in one or more regions assigned to you.
The role requires extensive travel (up to 65%), primarily to customer sites but also to Honeywell office locations, occasionally at short notice.
This position would suit a focused and motivate pre-sales technician who can prove a strong technical background of barcode data collection terminals, wireless technologies and barcode readers. Knowledge on barcode printers and the various EMM software offerings, as well as experience in Microsoft and/or Android development, would be seen as an advantage.
Key Responsabilites:
• Leading the design and implementation of PSS solutions and products that meet customer requirements.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define solution architecture and technical specifications.
• Conducting feasibility studies and providing technical guidance to project teams.
• Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
• Ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the solutions
• Establish strong relationships with customers and partners to be recognized as the "trusted technical advisor".
• Project management and support pilot installations, coordinating installation activities with various internal and external support groups, addressing and elevating any technical issues promptly.
• Ensure that your assigned sales representatives understand the features and functions set of each PSS product and solution.
• Develop training plans in according with the Solution Architect leader, to ensure that all assigned partners have the right knowledge to propose and support the PSS products portfolio.
Must Have:
• Ambitious, self motivated, hard working, results orientated and problem solver with a positive outlook.
• Experience in working in a team from a remote environment.
• A natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance.
• Autonomous, mature, credible, highly professional, and comfortable in dealing with individuals at very senior levels.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or 6-10 year's professional experience, including 3-5 years in customer-related sales support activities among which analyzing customer business needs.
Added Values:
• Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in the transportation, logistics, warehousing, or retail industries.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Job specific skills:
• Strong pre-sales management skills including thorough knowledge of the sales process.
• Technical skills should include network connectivity, wireless networks, bar-code, data capture.
• Strong presentation and project management skills.
• The ability to adapt to changing schedules and customer requirements.
• Strong initiative to be fully engaged in the sales process.
• The ability to prepare a business plan outlining the salient points of development with specific customers.
• Competent author of technical white papers and "how-to" guide
