We are seeking a skilled Contracts Engineer to join our client's contracts team. In this role, you will take on a pivotal responsibility for managing and coordinating key contract activities across various projects. Collaborating closely with project teams and different departments, you will ensure that all contract processes are executed effectively, aligning with organizational standards and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage subcontracting activities for projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and adherence to budgets in line with the organization's Management System (CMS).
- Develop and contribute to subcontracting strategies that support project objectives.
- Take the lead as Contracts Engineer on designated large-scale projects.
- Prepare invitations to tender, review tender submissions, award contracts, and handle administration until project close-out.
- Analyze and negotiate commercial and contractual terms while coordinating the technical evaluation of tenders.
- Organize and lead meetings, including tender clarifications, tender board discussions, project kick-offs, and commercial reviews.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts Engineer with strong commercial acumen. Ideal candidates will have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in contracts within the construction, engineering, or oil & gas sectors, preferably on international projects.
- Experience managing contractor teams (preferred).
- Familiarity with large-scale re-measurable and lump-sum EPC(IC) contracts.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to consistently add value to projects.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Availability for short-term travel overseas and long-term assignments as needed.
