Within TotalEnergies Marketing Belgium (TEMB) & Luxembourg (TEMKGL), the Legal Department supports all the activities of the subsidiary and its affiliated companies. In a particularly rich and complex Belgian and Luxembourg environment (legal, linguistic and cultural diversity), the team handles a wide range of matters: corporate law, commercial law, environmental law, law of obligations, real estate law, public procurement law, GDPR and corporate housekeeping.

You will join the team based in Brussels, composed of the Legal Manager, two lawyers, one paralegal and external consultants.

As a Lawyer, you will play a key role in providing overall legal support:
1. GDPR Project - 70% for the first 3 to 6 months, then 30%

• Updating records of processing activities
• Supporting business teams
• Regulatory monitoring
• Drafting legal opinions

2. General legal support - 30% then 70%

• Drafting and reviewing contracts
• Assistance with corporate housekeeping tasks
• Drafting legal opinions mainly in the following areas: law of obligations, environmental law, public procurement law, commercial law, real estate law
• Legal research and legal monitoring
• Document management and archiving

3. Interaction and cross-functional work

• Direct work with the Legal Manager and the team's lawyers
• Occasional collaboration with the lawyers at Head Office in Paris
• Contact with internal clients, external service providers and consultants

Candidate Profile

Education Required :

• Master's degree in Law (business law, commercial law)
• International study or internship experience appreciated
• An affinity, specialization and/or experience in GDPR is a plus.

Technical Skills :

• Strong knowledge of Commercial Law, Civil Law, and Common Law
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills
• Ability to adapt to the company's commercial structure, along with flexibility and speed of execution which-combined with a concrete, pragmatic (and creative) approach-are essential to delivering high-quality services.

IT Skills :

• Comfortable with digital tools: Google Workspace, AI tools
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, especially Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams

Languages :

• English: B2/C1 level
• French: C1/C2 level
• Dutch: C1 level
