- Providing legal support to tender and project execution processes, including advising on contract terms, delivery and procurement models, partnering arrangements, and local jurisdictional requirements.
- Managing and reviewing legal, commercial, and contractual matters related to tenders and project execution, in line with Aker Solutions’ policies and applicable laws.
- Participating in and driving contractual negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners, including managing legal clarifications and contractual risk assessments.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of contractual agreements, including contracts of sale, cooperation agreements, joint venture agreements, leases, and consultancy agreements.
- Advising management teams and project organisations on contractual and commercial matters throughout the project lifecycle, taking into account commercial, operational, and strategic considerations.
- Supporting corporate governance processes and global delivery models, including the establishment and management of cross‑border legal and contractual structures.
- Reviewing project documentation and coordinating legal input on contractual and commercial issues in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the implementation of actions required to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Advising and supporting project management teams on contractual and commercial issues, providing pragmatic recommendations aimed at protecting Aker Solutions’ interests and maximising contract value.
- Managing or supporting claims, dispute resolution, and litigation processes as required.
- Liaising with external legal advisers to obtain specialised advice, including in jurisdictions where Aker Solutions operates outside its core locations.
We think you should have:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in law with strong academic results.
- Formal qualification as a solicitor is a benefit but not a requirement.
- 3 years’ experience as a legal professional, either in-house or with a law firm
- Prior relevant experience with contract drafting and negotiations within energy services / oil and gas / renewable / construction projects.
- Experience within any of the following areas is a benefit but not a requirement: corporate law and governance, finance, M&A, labor law, IT, software and digitalization, intellectual property, competition law, public administrative law, sanctions and trade compliance, business integrity and anti-corruption, human rights, personal data, tax, marine operations and transportation.
- A strong personal motivation, strategic mindset and drive towards commercial behavior.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
