Legal Counsel Location: Vietnam, HCMC Industry: Renewable Energy An international renewable energy platform is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its renewable energy portfolio in Vietnam. This position will play a key role in advising on project development, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance and operational legal matters relating to utility-scale renewable energy assets and infrastructure projects.Key Responsibilities Provide legal support across project development, construction, operational and commercial activities within the renewable energy and infrastructure sector Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial and project-related agreements, including construction, operations, land and financing documentation Support permitting, licensing and regulatory approval processes in coordination with internal stakeholders and external authorities Advise on compliance with local legal and regulatory frameworks relating to energy, infrastructure, environmental and investment matters Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks across project execution, operational activities and contractual negotiations Support dispute management, claims handling and coordination with external legal counsel where required Partner closely with cross-functional teams including development, engineering, construction, finance and asset management functions Assist with investment, acquisition and transaction-related activities as required Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the business and support ongoing corporate compliance initiativesRequirements Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law from a reputable university Approximately 5+ years of relevant legal experience across private practice and/or in-house environments Experience supporting infrastructure, renewable energy, construction or large-scale commercial projects highly preferred Strong understanding of Vietnamese legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to energy and infrastructure projects Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and project-related agreements Strong English communication and drafting skills alongside native-level Vietnamese legal drafting capability Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities within a fast-paced project environmentWhy Consider This Opportunity Broad exposure across project development, operations, commercial transactions and regulatory matters Regional and cross-functional stakeholder exposure within an international platform Dynamic environment with long-term growth potential within the energy transition sector
