In this role, you will have the opportunity to establish and maintain IS compliance processes, governance frameworks, and assurance activities. Each day, you will be responsible for supporting compliance with internal policies and external regulations, monitoring control effectiveness, and driving continuous improvement across risk and compliance practices. You will also showcase your expertise by guiding and supporting stakeholders on compliance requirements, audit readiness, control execution, documentation management, and process improvements to ensure effective and efficient compliance across the organization.

This role is contributing to the FPDS function within ABB Finance and it reports to the IS Compliance Operations Lead in Kraków, Poland.

Main stakeholders are IS Compliance roles across the organization, compliance officers, Corporate IS SRC, internal and external auditors, and Group Functions including Governance & Assurance, Risk and Internal Control, Data Privacy, and Global Trade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing subject matter expertise and guidance on compliance requirements, controls, and regulatory obligations
• Reviewing and supporting the design, implementation, documentation, and execution of IT compliance controls
• Monitoring control effectiveness and supporting the remediation of identified deficiencies
• Supporting compliance assurance activities, audits, assessments, and reporting processes
• Developing and maintaining compliance documentation, templates, and audit-cycle deliverables
• Coordinating stakeholder meetings, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up on key initiatives
• Delivering training and awareness activities to strengthen compliance maturity and execution quality
• Driving continuous improvement of compliance processes, methodologies, tools, and governance practices
• Supporting risk and compliance management activities to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations

Qualifications:

• You are highly skilled in IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 2700x
• You have experience in IT compliance, internal controls, audit support, or risk management
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SOX, Data Privacy, Export Control, ESG, or similar regulatory requirements
• You are passionate about continuous improvement and maintaining high compliance standards
• You are innovative around problem solving, critical thinking, and stakeholder collaboration
• You have established skills in process analysis, control testing, and documentation management
• Highly adept in Microsoft Office tools and working with compliance-related documentation
• Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
• You are at ease communicating in English
