Job Title: Facilities Technician (Specialist)
Location: Airdrie, AB
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8hrs/day, 40hrs/week
Contract: March 24, 2025 – March 24, 2026

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of material receipt, including verifying accuracy and condition, ensuring the proper documentation for material certifications and testing is received, and maintaining and organizing these documents. Additionally, responsible for optimizing the layout and organization of warehouse storage facilities. Duties also include the receipt, storage, and distribution of critical parts, pre-tested pipes, equipment, and supplies to support company operations. Makes decisions and provides recommendations within established guidelines, policies, and authorized limits. Manages contractor and support staff relationships while overseeing inventory management activities, such as material handling, receipt, proper storage, distribution, cycle counting, annual physical inventories, identification of obsolete inventory, variance research, and related accounting processes.
  • Receives, unloads, inspects, identifies, stores, and issues a wide variety of equipment and supplies
  • Verifies correctness of catalogue/inventory numbers, descriptions, quantities, units, and location and resolves communicates differences
  • Updates computer software database to maintain accurate inventory levels and records
  • Operates equipment, such as forklifts, lift - reach trucks/lifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other job-related equipment
  • Delivers commodities from warehouse to requestor when - where necessary
  • Conducts periodic physical inventories by checking records against physical counts - researching, documenting and communicating any variances
  • Maintains all areas, warehouses, stores, yards, in organized, neat, orderly manner and inspects for and to prevent and avoid safety hazards
  • Files and stores archive records
  • Maintains physical inventory locations, properly identifying racks, floors, yard, stack with inventory number, bin locations

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Has some technical/trade experience - preferably industrial or oil and gas environment
  • Some experience in central warehousing or central storekeeping
  • Some experience in varied purchasing clerical work
  • Must have 2-8 years’ experience
  • Must have Forklift experience and provide the copy of their most recent certification (even if expired) with their resume
  • Must have Warehouse Shipping and receiving experience
