Wood is recruiting a Materials & Logistics Lead to join our growing Operations business in Darwin, supporting one of our long-term client partners within the Oil & Gas industry on an established WA Brownfields Contract. Based in Darwin, this is a permanent role and is available as a full-time / part-time (job share) basis.

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will step into a dedicated client delivery team. You will be responsible for the hands-on management of the materials and logistics team providing all aspects of materials management across expediting, logistics, materials control, and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will step into a dedicated client delivery team. You will be responsible for the hands-on management of the materials and logistics team providing all aspects of materials management across expediting, logistics, materials control, and reporting.
In addition, you will be:
- Providing direction and management of the materials and logistics activities to support projects
- Providing supervision and administration of assigned materials and logistics personnel working on the project
- Ensuring the competence and performance of all assigned materials and logistics personnel within their role
- Managing the effective expediting, receipt, storage, movement and control of all materials to support projects
- Liaising with other supply chain leads and personnel, client, freight forwarders, and supply base to ensure that all materials and equipment are marshalled and shipped in accordance with Wood procedures and client requirements
- Regularly monitoring and reporting of progress of materials and logistics activities
- Ensuring the team's regular update of reports/material systems with the required information to allow accurate reporting
- Escalating any critical issues and risks to the Supply Chain Manager.
