Material Coordinator


We have a current opportunity for a Material Coordinator in Den Helder duration long term approx 12 months. For further information about this position please apply.

Responsible for maintaining fixed forecasted planning with the operational planning function and third-party transport and logistics contractors.
Responsible for collaboration and communication to any third contractors or transport contractors.
Responsible for collaboration with various departments (including offshore) to manage efficient flow of outgoing shipments according to production and transport schedules and planned priorities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities / Performance Criteria 
HSEQ:
• Comply with HSEQ standards, GOIMS.
• ADR and IMDG shipment regulations.
• Promote and support the use of the IRIDE to report I-care, NCR and safety incidents.
• Perform pre-shipment audits.

Material and shipping management:
• Member of rotational week duty.
• Ownership of logistics materials required offshore, in line with planning.
• Coordinate with the operational in- and external planners on the vessel routing based on the forecasted requirement.
• Participation in daily operational call.
• Follow-up with stakeholders on registered NCR ‘s and process to close-out.
• Carry out applicable corrective actions when required.
• Actively work with SNS Pool planning to forecast the requirements including enabling geographical shares.
• Document, resolve and close out manifest discrepancies.
• Formalise and coordinate - with suppliers, the warehouse team and/or internal requestor- all requirements for upcoming shipments.
• Ensure that the materials for pending shipments are manifested and accepted as both warehouse released and direct release to the quay side.
• Plan upcoming workload on return shipments with the offshore materials responsible and secure resources when required from the Yard and Warehouse Supervisor.
• Ensure correct manifesting of all fuel and production chemicals tank and bulk deliveries with external suppliers.
• Follow-up with stakeholders on registered NCR ‘s and process to close-out.
• Responsible for the correct processing of LSA and hazardous waste as per statutory regulation.
• Additional activities such as support to material dispatch and Yard and Warehouse Supervisor will be required.
• Offshore travel must be expected in order to foster collaboration and continuous improvement efficiencies.

Collaboration:
• Collaboration with the operation support team leads and the in- and external planners.
• Actively coach and train offshore colleagues in correct usage of logistics system(s).


Context and Environment
The logistics function is focused on providing support to a 24/7 offshore continuous operation.
The Supply Chain Management and Logistics function is a global function, and whilst the local Aviation and Marine Coordinator will mainly ensure delivery of logistics activities locally, he/she will have a responsibility of assisting in driving the vision and strategy of SCM&L.

Required competences / Qualifications / Experience / Profile 
• Intermediate vocational education in logistics management.
• Extensive knowledge regarding the transport of hazardous materials.
• Knowledge and/or trained in IMDG and/ ADR regulations
• An ability to work under pressure and react efficiently to urgent/ short notice operational challenges.
• Extensive experience with an operator or logistics provider, focused on aviation- planning, budget, process improvement and formal contract management.
• Relevant work experience, with a minimum of 5 years, may compensate for limited formal education.
