Primary Purpose of the Job
Supervise the movement, distribution, and storage of materials within the facility. Ensure all incoming materials and outgoing finished products are handled efficiently and received on time. Oversee warehouse, inventory control, material handling, customer service, and planning staff across multiple sites. Prepare worker schedules and ensure safety rules are followed. Provide regular reports to management and support improvements in logistical efficiency.
Principal Accountabilities

Strategically plan and manage logistics and warehouse services

Direct, optimize, and coordinate the full order cycle

Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers

Monitor quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency

Arrange warehouse operations, catalog goods, plan routes, and process shipments
-
Resolve operational issues or complaints related to suppliers
-
Ensure cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets are met

Maintain metrics, analyze data, and implement improvements
-
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations

Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries

Maintain spares and inventories for the facility

Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers

Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics and warehouse procedures

Evaluate budgets and expenditures
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience
-
Logistics qualification or equivalent field experience
-
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role
-
Proven managerial and leadership experience
-
Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management systems
-
Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes
-
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
-
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
