Position Title: Material Coordinator
Location: Onshore - Ras Laffan, Qatar
Working Schedule: 8-10 hours/day, 5 days/week

Job Description
The Material Coordinator will manage materials for project execution, ensuring timely delivery and proper tracking of project and spare parts. Responsibilities include updating Bills of Materials (BOM), coordinating with planning, materials, and integrity teams, and supporting procurement activities for long-lead items. The role requires maintaining accurate SAP records, managing stock, and coordinating with contractors for receipt, inspection, and issue of materials.
Key Accountabilities:
- Update BOM in SAP upon project completion and coordinate with Projects, Materials & Integrity, and Planning teams
- Receive procured items, manage inspections, and hand over to contractors for installation
- Track project stock, reserve and issue materials, and return surplus to warehouse
- Create new Materials Master Templates (MMT) and PRs in coordination with relevant teams
- Support creation of new Tag numbers and Functional Locations during Engineering and project stages
- Forward Recommended Spare Part Lists (RSPL) and critical vendor documents to Materials & Integrity for SAP updates
- Ensure contractor material handling, storage, and preservation comply with approved procedures
- Track procurement and expedite materials to meet project schedules, including shutdown projects
- Manage asset disposal approvals and disposal of redundant or scrap equipment
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering
Experience & Skills:
- Experience in project materials management, including warehousing and site inventory control
- Proficiency in SAP Materials Management (MM) Module and MS Office
- Knowledge of procurement, financial, and accounting procedures is an advantage
- Analytical, structured approach to materials management and contractual issues
- Ability to work independently and plan, monitor, and coordinate work activities
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills in English
