This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. By joining us now, you'll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics-working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

This Position reports to:
Service Operations Manager

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute and continuously optimize warehousing and internal logistics activities for incoming and outgoing goods within our Regional Distribution Center (RDC). You will ensure that established procedures and guidelines are consistently followed to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods efficiently and in compliance with ABB standards.

You will showcase your expertise by managing and improving various warehousing and logistics operations, including packing and storage, replenishment, picking, loading, dispatching, and transportation routing. In addition, you will actively drive continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring operational KPIs, identifying improvement areas, performing root cause analyses, and applying structured process improvement methodologies.

The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-Onsite

This role is primarily based at our Central Warehouse in Bergkamen (Germany), where you will spend the majority of your working time executing and optimizing warehouse and logistics operations.

When not on-site in Bergkamen, you may work from home office as agreed with your manager. Occasional visits to the Friedberg site may be required for coordination with the Robotics Customer Service Business Line, Parts & Logistics function and other key stakeholders.

Main stakeholders include Regional Operations, RDC and Central Warehouse teams, Customer Service Parts & Logistics, Trade & Compliance functions, carriers, and external logistics service providers.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Executing and continuously optimizing RDC, warehouse, and internal logistics operations in line with defined service levels, productivity targets, and safety standards, covering inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatching, and transportation flows.
  • Monitoring, managing, and improving operational performance by tracking KPIs, conducting root cause analyses, managing carrier performance, and driving structured continuous improvement and best practice initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance and quality across all logistics activities, including shipping regulations, trade and customs requirements, quality checks of incoming goods, and cooperation with Trade, RDC Logistics, and Warehouse teams.
  • Maintaining accurate logistics, inventory, and transportation data in ERP systems, including routing tables, inventory control activities, and invoice processing to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely completion
  • Supporting daily operational and cross-functional collaboration, acting as a key contact for logistics-related topics, contributing to improvement and business development projects, and handling day-to-day operational questions within the area of responsibility.

You will join a collaborative, international, and performance-driven team, where continuous improvement, cross-functional cooperation, and a solution-oriented mindset are key to our success.

Qualifications for the role
  • You enjoy working with logistics and warehouse operations, KPI-driven performance management, and continuous improvement methodologies within the industrial automation and robotics environment
  • You have several years of experience in logistics, warehousing, internal logistics, or supply chain operations, ideally within an international or industrial context.
  • Proven experience in project management, logistics processes, and supply chain operations, including cooperation with carriers and external service providers.
  • You are highly adept in ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Preferred experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • You are passionate about process optimization, systematic problem-solving, and continuous improvement, ideally with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • You are at ease communicating in German and English, written and spoken; Swedish is a plus.
