The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities. The role includes conducting regular training for storekeepers to ensure tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established procedures.
The position is responsible for effective inventory management by maintaining accurate stock records, conducting periodic audits and cycle counts, and ensuring consistent safety awareness throughout all material handling and stores operations.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
- Lead and supervise the parts warehouse team by planning, assigning, cost savings and monitoring daily activities to ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations.
- Manage end to end warehouse activities including receiving, storage/location control, picking, kitting, packing, and handover of shipments to freight forwarders.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements through adherence to procedures, proper documentation, and participation in internal and external audits.
- Develop, implement, and maintain warehouse SOPs and conduct risk assessments in compliance with company HSE policies and guidelines.
- Promote a strong safety culture through daily toolbox talks, safety training, and continuous safety awareness across warehouse operations.
- Drive digitalization, system improvements, and warehouse automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Define, monitor, and report warehouse KPIs, implementing corrective and preventive actions to achieve performance targets.
- Train, coach, and develop team members on warehouse processes, SOPs, and safe operation of equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Purchasing, Quality, Planning, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution.
- Oversee inventory management including cycle counts, audits, annual stock counts, discrepancy resolution, and ERP inventory accuracy.
- Drive 5S and Lean practices warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Ensure maintenance and calibration of warehouse equipment, manage warehouse consumables, and provide inputs on capacity planning, nonconformance handling, and material scrapping
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.
Who you are?
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
For this role you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications that set you apart
- Experience in digital transformation and warehouse automation initiatives.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Control valve knowledge is mandatory.
