About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics to lead our inventory, warehousing and logistics function in support of our AMD Equipment program and related operational needs. This role will be accountable for capital and operational inventory management, owned and 3rd party warehouse operational performance, and logistics operations including our 4PL transportation and logistics partner.
The Director of Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain AMD Equipment part number and spare parts philosophies and strategies as well as related forecasting and planning efforts to ensure an uninterrupted supply of spare parts and consumables to Operations. The role will also be accountable for inventory accuracy and is expected to maintain a robust physical inventory count program. Lastly, the Director of Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics will be responsible for ensuring that all inventory is preserved and maintained in accordance with the AMD Preservation, Maintenance & Storage Program.

How much do we pay? $121,100 - $173,000. *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 - 240 hours of vacation per year for full times employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays. Lastly, the Director of Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics will be responsible for ensuring that all inventory is preserved and maintained in accordance with the AMD Preservation, Maintenance & Storage Program.
Key accountabilities
- Develop and maintain inventory management strategies, policies, and processes to ensure inventory accuracy including a robust physical inventory count program and reliable inventory transactional discipline.
- Oversee capital and operational inventory management efforts.
- Partner with the Product Management Team (PMT), Development, and Operations to develop and maintain AMD Equipment part number and spare parts philosophies and strategies including establishment of appropriate minimum and maximum stocking levels.
- Analyze inventory trends and distribution metrics to inform replenishment, planning, and operational decisions to ensure an uninterrupted supply of spare parts and consumables to Operations.
- Identify and implement warehouse management and governance best practices for the sake of operational consistency and continual improvement across all owned and 3rd party warehouses.
- Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.
- Evaluate 3rd party warehouse performance and identify and implement corrective actions as required.
- Ensure that all inventory is preserved and maintained in accordance with the AMD Preservation, Maintenance & Storage Program.
- Oversee logistics and distribution, including carrier selection, freight optimization, and delivery performance including management of our 4PL transportation and logistics partner.
- Develop and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and technology solutions to enhance operational performance.
- Provide executive reporting, dashboards, and insights for strategic decision-making.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across inventory, warehousing, and logistics functions.
Essential education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field.
Essential experience
- 10+ years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Proven leadership experience managing large, cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, Oracle), and inventory control best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
