Overview
A leading industrial organisation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee materials warehouse operations across key sites in Qatar.

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring efficient handling of materials, and maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance. You will play a key role in supporting supply chain operations, optimising inventory control, and leading a small team to deliver reliable service to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse operations including receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, and issuing of materials
• Ensure accurate documentation and control of all warehouse transactions
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse performance metrics
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise costs, improve efficiency, and rationalise inventory
• Coordinate inspections, material handling, and issuing plans with internal stakeholders
• Allocate tasks and manage workload distribution across warehouse teams
• Plan and secure resources required for operational activities and projects
• Review and approve timesheets, overtime, and service-related invoices
• Manage external storage facilities and service contracts
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions where required
• Drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes, systems, and layout
• Oversee handling and storage of specialised materials, including chemicals where applicable
• Coordinate logistics activities such as shipments, gate passes, and material movements
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance, stock variances, and operational metrics

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with internal departments including procurement, finance, operations, and planning
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and logistics providers
• Support material movements, urgent shipments, and documentation requirements
• Engage with relevant authorities and external parties as required

Leadership and Team Management

• Supervise and support warehouse personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members
• Identify training and development needs to enhance team capability
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5 to 7 years of experience in warehouse or materials management within oil and gas or heavy industry
• Experience supervising teams in an operational environment
• Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, and materials handling
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred, including warehouse management modules)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience within petrochemical or large industrial environments
• Exposure to advanced warehouse systems and digital tools
• Knowledge of handling regulated or hazardous materials

Additional Information

• Candidates must be eligible to work in Qatar (local hire or valid sponsorship required)
• Working knowledge of Arabic is advantageous but not essential
