Job Summary
Responsible for overall logistics, warehouse and inventory control activities by overseeing activities of all personnel working in the department to ensure customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and the establishment of goals and performance objectives for assigned department.
- Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
- Manage budget and expenditures.
- Oversee all outbound customer and branch shipments with various departments.
- Ensure accurate completion of all applicable import and export documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing invoices and any other customers documentation required.
- Communicate directly with customer's traffic department to ensure their transportation requirements are met.
- Coordinate with the appropriate department inbound and outbound transportation on purchased items and items requiring outside processing.
- Negotiate inbound and outbound freight rates with domestic carriers and international freight forwarders.
- Oversee all domestic and international shipments.
- Maintain favorable contracts with all modes of transport.
- Arrange transportation services to meet needs of customers and production schedules.
- Perform other work-related tasks as required as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company, departmental and HSE procedures and policies.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities
- Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
- Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy.
- Perform ongoing inventory analysis and propose, design, and implement systems to achieve inventory goals by reducing overall levels, including identifying obsolete and slow-moving stock.
- Research inventory discrepancies.
- Work with internal stakeholders to resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.
- Issue job assignments to employees and evaluate employee's performance.
- Managing the warehousing activity to support overall supply chain function
- Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks
- Manage domestic and international shipments from end to end in accordance with Global Logistics processes and company policy
- Utilize a multitude of systems and applications to obtain and input data, process shipments, run reports and research information
- Continuously improve department operations through the use of lean enterprise practices.
- Coordinate regulatory requirements as defined by importing and exporting countries in liaison with compliance team members
- Collaborate with other departments (operations, sales, project management, procurement, compliance) to ensure seamless execution of shipments and delivery of services
- Resolve quality, service or cost issues in a timely manner while maintaining excellent customer service
- Prepare and report metrics
- Maintain complete shipment records and participate in compliance audits
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management

Education & Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor's/MBA degree with minimum 10years relevant working experience in Warehousing & Logistics.
- Minimum 3 years of related managerial experience is required.
- Certification on Warehouse management and inventory control is preferred.
- Experience with using ERP system is mandatory. Knowledge of Oracle is preferred.
- English speaking and writing needs to at a proficient level.
- Must be familiar with compliance/commercial terms/ formats /rules
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products. Advance excel certification is preferred
