What does the role look like?
The position will report hierarchically to the Supply Chain Strategy Manager, within his/her role, the candidate will be in charge of managing the New Product Introduction and Research & Development Supply Chain activities, interacting directly with internal and external Customers. Will be the primary contact between Supply Chain and Program Management / Engineering offices.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
• Responsibility for scouting and qualifying new suppliers; a solid technical understanding of machining processes, equipment, and manufacturing technologies is essential
• Manage all aspects of the Project to ensure achievement of Project objectives
• Understand and apply project lifecycle requirements from Gate 1 (Bid) to Gate 5 (OE Production).
• Execute the project plan and schedule to meet business case requirements for Supply Chain, RC, NRC & Capex
• Support costing activity at the bid process, define with Commodities the Sourcing Strategy ensure NDA coverage, RFQ/Negotiation with Commodity, co-ordinate NPI Supplier Selection Review with Commodities and report LTA coverage, support Supplier review, place and manage PO, follow Customer reviews, coordinate industrialization
• Manage Supplier Delivery and Quality performance to meet project requirements
• Establish and manage supplier relationships to provide the best competitive advantage
• Identify/support initiatives to reduce and/or contain cost, improve material flow, evaluate capacity, and manage material obsolescence.
• Provide day-to-day support into the Integrated Project Team activities with respect to Risk, Problem Resolution and hardware achievement.
• Responsible for defining, reviewing and tracking On-Time Delivery through LOB or WIP tracker, Cost adherence and release drawing, Technical Information to suppliers.
• Support the engineering team in the achievement of design for manufacture, design for cost

Required skills:
• Degree in Engineering preferred, preferably with a focus in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• 3-5 years of proven experience of successfully leading projects in delivering complex projects on time and within budget, preferably in an aerospace development context
• Good knowledge of project management techniques, including scheduling and risk management
• Fluent English
• Travel requirement (≥20%): this role requires frequent international travel, accounting for approximately 20% or more of the time, to visit suppliers, manufacturing sites, and project stakeholders
• Microsoft Office Tools capability preferred
• SAP capability preferred
