Education & Experience Requirements
- Technical Diploma. Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline preferred.
- 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas / petrochemical industry.

Core Technical Skills & Industry Codes
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering and industrial automation.
- Knowledge of downtime analysis and good knowledge of problem-solving tools.
- Knowledge of maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools, and CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System).
- Knowledge of preventative / predictive maintenance theory.
- Expertise with centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, steam and gas turbines, pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement), fans, blowers, gearboxes, and mixers.
- Strong focus on precision alignment, vibration, wear and tear, dynamic behavior analysis, and diagnosing internal component failures.
- Experience in balancing, bearing replacements, mechanical seal changes, and monitoring lubrication or vibration analysis data.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned section; organize fabrication, repair, maintenance, and overhauling of all rotating mechanical parts used in the plant and facilities.
- Support achievement of optimum plant integrity and reliability and effective upkeep of assets, ensuring adherence to HSE and quality guidelines.
- Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities and manage all maintenance activities for rotating equipment for the assigned shift, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
- Review current processes and procedures to ensure their optimization, implementing changes as necessary in collaboration with Engineer and Lead Engineer.
- Act as the person in charge for the assigned maintenance area of work to coordinate general shift activities and make shift-wide decisions in line with defined delegation of authority levels.
