Network Engineer - Offshore & Enterprise IT Infrastructure

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Network Engineer to play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing IT network infrastructure across enterprise and offshore environments. This role will focus on EPCI project phases for offshore assets, ensuring seamless network setup and integration while supporting ongoing operations, maintenance, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise & Offshore IT Network Management:

• Plan, design, and implement network solutions for corporate and offshore infrastructure.
• Oversee end-to-end offshore IT setup for large-scale energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Manage the full lifecycle of IT network and communication assets across the Asia-Pacific region.

Project-Based IT Deployment & Upgrades:

• Lead network architecture design for offshore installations during the EPCI phases.
• Upgrade and optimize network equipment, applying latest stable firmware releases.
• Support global teams in improving response times for internal and external IT network support.

Cybersecurity & Compliance:

• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain network security policies.
• Ensure network hardening through proactive maintenance and security best practices.

Communication & Collaboration Systems:

• Manage and configure phone and video conferencing (VC) systems.
• Provide user training and support for communication tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile

✅ Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network architecture design and implementation.
• 5+ years of experience in IT network administration, ideally within offshore/marine, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade networking solutions.
• Technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.

✅ Technical Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of network protocols & methodologies (L1, L2, L3, L4).
• Proficiency in routing, switching, VLAN, BGP, MPLS, VPN, and network security.
• Experience with network optimization, wireless controllers, and cloud integration.
• Cybersecurity knowledge or hands-on security experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions is a plus.

✅ Soft Skills & Working Conditions:

• Project management skills, with end-to-end project cycle experience.
• Ability to work independently and in global teams with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable with occasional fieldwork, including offshore and shipyard installations.
• Willingness to attend meetings at irregular hours due to global operations.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
