About the Role

A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Data Management Engineer to take charge of enterprise-wide information management activities within a major energy and infrastructure organization. This high-impact leadership role involves overseeing data governance, document control, engineering design system administration, and CMMS database development, ensuring seamless data integrity across projects and operations. The successful candidate will lead a team of 80+ professionals, drive strategic initiatives, and enhance digital information workflows to support critical business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Policy Development

  • Develop and implement information management policies and standards aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive digital transformation and best practices in data governance, document control, and CMMS database management.
  • Define key performance metrics to monitor effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead and mentor a team of 80+ information management professionals, ensuring high performance and career growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, IT, and operations to align data strategies with business needs.
  • Provide training and support to staff on information management principles, tools, and best practices.

Project & Operational Oversight

  • Oversee information management activities across multiple ongoing projects, ensuring timely execution within scope and budget.
  • Support proposal and bid activities, ensuring accurate and timely data submissions.
  • Plan and allocate resources for corporate and project-based roles, balancing demand and professional development.

Technology & Compliance

  • Oversee the selection, development, and maintenance of information management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices for data integrity and security.
  • Identify and address complex information management challenges using analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in data management, document control, and digital systems administration.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale information management functions.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of data governance, CMMS database structures, and engineering design systems.
  • Experience implementing document control and enterprise data management solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards in energy and engineering sectors.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strategic mindset.
