What structure will you work in as a Preparation Lead?
We are recruiting for one of our clients, a major operator in the oil & gas sector in Angola, for a Preparation Lead position.
The role will be onshore from January to March 2026, then offshore on a 4x4 rotation until June 2027.
Preparation Lead: Main missions and responsibilities

Lead the preparation team responsible for creating and updating job cards for all construction, maintenance, and modification activities.

Ensure all job cards are accurately developed, technically compliant, and aligned with project requirements and execution constraints.

Coordinate with engineering, construction, lifting, and HSE teams to ensure proper validation and readiness before execution.

Supervise the tracking and follow-up of job cards during execution phases (updates, redlines, progress, documentation).

Ensure all preparators maintain adequate quality standards and meet planning deadlines.

Participate in preparation meetings and readiness reviews.

Provide technical support to offshore teams and ensure consistency between preparation and field execution.

Report progress, risks, deviations, and workload needs to the project management team.
Profile and required skills for the Preparation Lead position
Education

Technical degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, construction, or related discipline.
Experience
-
Minimum 7–10 years in preparation, planning, or construction support roles in oil & gas.

Proven experience leading a preparation team.

Offshore project experience is a strong advantage.

Previous exposure to major international operators is appreciated.
Skills

Fluent English mandatory.

Expertise in job card preparation, work packs, and construction methods.

Strong understanding of offshore HSE standards.

Ability to lead a small technical team and coordinate with multidiscipline stakeholders.

Solid technical writing, analytical and organizational skills.

Familiarity with CMMS or job card preparation tools is a plus.
