What structure will you work in as a Planner?

We are recruiting for one of our clients in Angola, for a Planner position.
This role is onshore only, on a 9x3 rotation, from January 2026 until June 2027.

Planner: Main missions and responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules for construction, maintenance, lifting, and modification activities.

  • Build detailed planning linked to job cards, execution sequences, resource allocation, and offshore constraints.

  • Coordinate closely with preparation, construction, and engineering teams to ensure planning accuracy.

  • Analyze progress, detect deviations, and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports (S-curves, histograms, KPIs, critical paths, progress analysis).

  • Consolidate planning inputs from offshore and onshore teams.

  • Ensure alignment between planning, job card readiness, material availability, and HSE constraints.

  • Participate in coordination meetings and provide schedule updates to management.

  • Support cost and progress control if required by the project.

Profile and required skills for the Planner position

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial planning, project management, or equivalent.

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in planning/scheduling within oil & gas.

  • Strong experience with Primavera P6 (mandatory).

  • Experience supporting offshore projects is a strong advantage.

  • Previous work with major operators (international oil companies) appreciated.

Skills

  • Fluent English mandatory.

  • Mastery of planning methods, critical path analysis, progress measurement, and work sequencing.

  • Excellent command of Primavera P6 and MS Project.

  • Comfortable reading drawings, understanding work preparation processes, and integrating field constraints.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Rigorous, structured, analytical profile.
