Job Purpose
To plan, lead, and control all offshore construction activities during the Hook-Up and Pre-Commissioning phase, ensuring execution is completed safely, in compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and approved schedules, while meeting quality, cost, and HSE objectives.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Construction Management
- Overall responsibility for offshore hook-up construction execution in accordance with approved project plans and schedules.
- Ensure proper coordination of mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural hook-up activities.
- Manage offshore construction teams, subcontractors, and discipline supervisors.
- Ensure readiness of systems for pre-commissioning and commissioning handover.
HSE Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with ADNOC HSEMS, project HSE plans, and offshore safety regulations.
- Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture offshore.
- Review and approve offshore Method Statements, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Risk Assessments.
- Ensure implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) and SIMOPS procedures.
Quality & Technical Compliance
- Ensure construction activities comply with ADNOC specifications, IFC drawings, and approved procedures.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, and system completion.
- Address technical and constructability issues in coordination with Engineering and Commissioning teams.
Planning & Progress Control
- Monitor offshore construction progress against baseline schedules.
- Identify risks, delays, and interface issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide accurate progress reports and forecasts to Project Management.
Interface & Stakeholder Management
- Act as focal point for offshore construction interfaces with Engineering, Commissioning, Marine, HSE, and Client representatives.
- Support ADNOC and Company site representatives during audits, inspections, and progress reviews.
- Ensure effective communication between onshore and offshore teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or equivalent).
- Recognized professional certifications related to offshore construction are an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 15 years total experience in offshore oil & gas projects.
- Minimum 7-10 years in a senior offshore construction or hook-up management role.
- Proven experience in offshore Hook-Up (HUC) and brownfield/greenfield projects.
- Prior experience working on ADNOC offshore projects or with ADNOC-approved EPC contractors is strongly preferred.
