We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy Doha, Qatar for a :
Maintenance Technician - Electrical & Instrument
Job Purpose:
To optimize the reliability and availability of equipment under area of responsibility through completing maintenance Activities in accordance with NOC approved operation procedures, guidelines, legislative
requirements and industry best practice.
Identify opportunities and champion initiatives that enable maximum production and injection output within the parameters of environmental compliance and process safety.
Provide Team Lead with regular reports with analysis and comment on performance and results. Be held accountable for area of responsibility.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with external parties, functional teams and corporate groups
as required to meet NOC strategic business and operational objectives.
Contribute to improvements, development and implementation of department activities, processes and procedures.
Complete safe and efficient replacement and repair activities in the event of failure or malfunction ensuring quick restoration; troubleshoot malfunctions and take corrective actions as necessary.
Optimize production and uptime when executing maintenance activities which require shut down / isolation or equipment.
Conduct diagnostic tests and report repetitive equipment failures.
Prepare adequate documentation and reporting for offshore management consideration regarding wrong
design, poor workmanship, non-compliance to NOC standards; take appropriate action within level of Authority.
Contribute to Identifying Improvements to planned maintenance routines.

Minimum higher secondary school education. Three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND, or equivalent) in electrical or instrumentation.
Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years offshore working on on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
Equal expertise in electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
Previous experience as an Isolation Authority and Area Authority.
Offshore installation experience.
Wellhead experience.
Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety and instrumentation standards. Familiarity with isolation procedures and offshore safety protocols.
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office
