SENIOR OFFSHORE JACKET ENGINEER - CONTRACT – SURREY

Our Client is seeking a Senior Offshore Jacket Engineer for a 2-3 month contract role that has an immediate start.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Structural Engineering Design
• Minimum experience of 12 years, having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
• Proficient user of SESAM GENIE and SESAM suite of software is a prerequisite.
• Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of the latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902, and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
• Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Ability to work in an office-based role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As a Technical Advisor - Offshore structural, you will support the lead in the preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned:
• Design basis, material and construction specifications
• Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (in-service) phase (in-place, fatigue, seismic), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, launch, upending and setdown) and accidental phase (boat impact, ALE earthquake, pushover).
• Perform detailed design of jacket appurtenances
• Review analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies

DURATION:                  2-3 months

LOCATION:                  The role will be based on minimum 3 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Surrey. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.

RATE:                          £58 per hourLtd co rate

                                    If the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.

BENEFITS                    Limited Company contract Outside IR35.
