Task and responsibilities

The Electrical Helper is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems to ensure the availability of offshore assets. Operating under direct supervision, the role involves supporting the execution of Preventive, Predictive, and Corrective maintenance strategies. The helper assists senior staff while ensuring strict adherence to offshore safety and environmental standards.

Job Description:

• Assist in the execution of electrical works to ensure assets operate within design parameters.
• Support technicians in the basic repair and component replacement for electrical motors, control panels, and power systems.
• Manage the preparation and transport of electrical tools, cables, and testing devices to worksites. Ensure electrical equipment and work areas are kept clean and free of hazards to maintain process integrity.
• Assist senior technicians in identifying basic electrical failures in an offshore environment.
• Support the maintenance of accurate manual or digital logs by recording basic findings as directed.

Educational Level and Training:

• Secondary school combined with qualification or possessed related training certificates in the field of

electrical technology.

• Good competence in written and spoken English

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3—5 years of entry-level experience in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably in offshore environments.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and instrumentation measuring tools such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Developing ability to compare physical measurements with values specified in technical drawings.
• Basic capability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&lDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and instrument loop diagrams.
• Fundamental understanding of the operating principles of pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems as they relate to instrumentation and control.
