About the role:
Responsible for and take ownership of the downstream chemicals water treatment VIVID controllers and pumps. This role consists of pre- and post-sales support of customer issue, which can include repairs, technical support, field service, or other automation requests.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of all VIVID automation units for different water and process chemical treatment systems
- Maintenance of small electric dosing pumps like those of Grundfos and Prominent
- Maintenance of different size pneumatic pumps like CheckPoint and McFarland.
- He should be able to handle all equipment related inquiries (injection pumps and skids)
- Understanding basic design of the control systems, and functionality of the sensors and pumps
- Proficient in interfacing with the controllers, PLCs, and other process control systems for applications in water and process chemical treatment systems
- Interpreting and understanding equipment and control system specification sheets
- Interfacing with vendors and automation subject matter experts to provide quick and efficient support for all repair and maintenance requests
To be successful in this role you will:
- Degree from an accredited university or college in electrical/electronic/instrumentation/engineering
- Knowledge of sensor measurements, pump functionality, DCS systems, controllers/PLCs, and gateways
- Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in maintaining and resolving mechanical issues relating to automation equipment (controllers, pumps, and sensors)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong mechanical skills
- Effective problem identification and troubleshooting skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics
