Job Purpose

1. Lead the execution oversight and hook-up of the offshore structural execution on site. Including support of lifting plan stewarding as required. To ensure the highest level of safety and compliance during execution.

Key Accountabilities

(Duties include but not limited to)

• Oversee EPC Contractor's structural hook-up activities including validation of execution with full compliance to project specifications and procedures.
• Provide input where required to the EPC Contractors execution strategy and procedures.
• Identify offshore risks and synergies to minimise impact to the RFSU dates.
• Endorsement of offshore permits as required for execution.
• Interface with the Company Discipline Specialist and Project Management Team (PMT) to support site queries ensuring compliance with the project scope with emphasis on safety, integrity and reliability.
• Participate in workshops as required such as Schedule, Execution, Risk Assessments and HAZOP workshops.
• Participate in offshore risk screening, PTW meetings and OIM meetings as required.
• Provide technical and execution reviews of the project structural and lifting related execution deliverables with respect to compliance to Company engineering standards, procedures, codes, and best practices.
• Support project quality improvement in Contractor's execution by leveraging experience, good oilfield practises to ensure safety, quality, integrity and execution are delivered.

• Reports to the Hook-Up Head / nominated Company Site Representative [ CSR ]

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

• Execution in an offshore environment, to have oversight in structural execution, including lifting, and address issues and escalate as required to the CPY structural subject matter expert, present options and assist management in making timely decisions to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Regular review of job card / task completion to ensure close out as per the execution schedule - flag gaps and challenges to management.
• Simultaneously supporting COMP2 brownfield work activities & shutdown planning where required.

Qualifications

Higher Qualification in Mechanical Engineering [Structural]

Knowledge and/or Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience working in the field of offshore structural installation for EPC stage in the oil and gas industry.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in offshore safety culture.
• Extensive offshore experience and knowledge in offshore structural codes [familiar with code AWS D1.1] and standards
• Able to work in offshore environment for extensive period / rotation as job dictates
