The position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned construction camp(s). The camp coordinator is the primary interface with the contractors involved in supporting and operating the construction camp(s) and with field operations when contractors are housed in existing camps. The camp coordinator may be assigned other duties as required and to assist other camp coordinators or the Construction Admin as required.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
 As part of the Construction Team the Construction Camp Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of camp operations, and to lead field safety and environmental performance as listed below:
 
REPORTING
•    Receive daily reports, billeting, water & refuse and daily summary, upload reports to camps reporting repository and distribute as required

CAMP OPERATIONS
•    Attend and participate in Contractor morning Simops, toolbox, and safety meetings.
•    Facilitate pad traffic patterns, signs, and coned walkways. Must be able to recognize, mitigate and eliminate hazards and safety issues. This would include, but not limited to spills and verifying hazardous materials satellite accumulation areas and waste segregation standards are met.
•    Facilitate and review all Contractor requests for additional staff or materials needed beyond the normal staffing and support levels identified in the camp contract.
•    Perform a daily visual inspection to monitor camp cleanliness, safety issues, hazards, monitor and critique food services align with performance standards identified in the contract.
•    Monitor camp visitors and headcount, recommend wing closure and openings to supervisor.
•    Help facilitate camp rules and regulations, model standards for conduct as they pertain to camp staff and client expectations.
•    Report any conflicts, resident or Contractor, to Field Superintendent.
•    Document all requests from camp owners and camp support services contractors and route to supervisor for disposition.

HSE
•    Proactively lead HSE performance by communicating, fostering, supporting, and enforcing HSE policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements, and objectives.
•    Perform jobsite walk-downs, review contractor THA/JHA, provide recognition for safe work execution and task planning.
•    Conduct training for all new camp staff and maintain rosters and records.
•    Report and follow through on all hazards identified, safety concerns, and Health, Safety, and Environmental incidents as necessary and maintain all documented information.
•    Participate in onsite Contractor toolbox and safety meetings, reinforce safety processes.
•    Enforce adherence to permit stipulations issued by regulatory agencies.
•    Participate in weekly Predictive Indicator meetings with the goal of improving Contractor safe work behaviors through analysis of proactive measures performed by the Contractor.
•    Participate in safety engagement meetings with Company and Contractor field leadership teams.
•    Participate in the adopted Behavior Based Safety (BBS) observation system.
•    Implement and support the Incident Free Culture (IFC) program with contractors through participation in IFC workshops, field engagements, and IFC instruction/training.
 
General (as required)
•    May be requested to assist with booking flight reservations, commercial and Aviation, creating passenger profiles in Company systems, and coordinating ground transportation (if required)
•    May be requested to assist with Camp billeting.
•    May be requested to assist other camp coordinators with their duties.
•    May be requested to assist Cnst Admin (North Slope and Anchorage) with their duties.

Qualification Requirements:
Basic / Required:
•    3 years of camp maintenance, camp management, or equivalent hotel operations experience
 
Preferred:
•    5 years of camp operations in Arctic conditions
•    3 years of experience of camp billeting, flight reservations, or travel planning
•    3 years of experience managing interfaces (coordination of) between contractors
•    Advanced level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
•    Demonstrated performance as part of a team working on a large project and interfacing with project leadership
•    Advanced level multi-tasking skills with ability to manage multiple ongoing activities
•    Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines and across organizational boundaries
•    Listens actively and invites dialogue for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive performance and achieve results
•    Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
•    Drives thoughtful and pragmatic change, encourages innovative thinking and continuous improvement, and models adaptability through resourcefulness, flexibility, and positivity
