Senior Petrophysicist - Malaysia
Role Summary:
As Senior Petrophysicist, you'll be a key member of a multidisciplinary subsurface team aiming to strategizing, planning, and integrating field development & production assurance. This is to achieve optimum hydrocarbon recovery. Therefore, enhancing Asset value in line with the Alliance Stakeholder’s objectives in production, technology & HSE.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and normalize field wide petrophysical data
• Supporting drilling and well intervention operations, data surveillance program, production performance analysis and optimization with corrective actions and full field development plan for existing development and exploration area.
• Conduct advanced well log data interpretation
• Determine petrophysical parameters such as net pay, porosity, saturation, permeability etc.
• Evaluate and integrate core, log, sampling, and test data
• Conduct fluid distribution studies and determine fluid contacts
• Apply the latest technology and efficient workflows to generate petrophysical work processes
• Collaborate with resource geoscientists and petroleum engineers to conduct Field reviews and Field development plans
• Follow up well operations, propose and provide technical advice on data acquisition, coring, and testing operations
• Establish and maintain technical database of all reservoir properties in conjunction with FDPs' & FFRs'.
• Coach, mentor and develop the young professionals on relevant skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering or related field (e.g., Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, or other related science and engineering fields) is required.
• An extensive formal experience in petrophysical evaluation and resource assessment related studies is desirable.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience. An extensive experience in petrophysical studies and at least 5-10 years of professional experience in well log interpretation.
• Significant knowledge of logging and core analysis techniques
• Experience in QC and validation of single and multi-well petrophysical evaluation
• Conduct sensitivity analysis on modelling parameters and uncertainties, highlighting their impact on volumes.
• Have good exposure to different petrophysical evaluation methods, including Rock properties and saturation height functions with detailed analysis.
• Conduct technical studies related to petrophysical applications in resource assessments
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good command of spoken and written English

Desired Characteristics:
• Lead/supervise/conduct Petrophysics studies incorporating rock properties and fluid contact distribution for reservoir characterization.
• Input to Reserves and Resources estimation, Resources Maturation and Development Plan for both oil and gas accumulations.
• Identify necessary surveillance activities to monitor reservoir and well performance, analyze problems, propose solutions, and support execution of relevant activities related to Production enhancement.
• Support reservoir management plan and monitoring program including decision making for drilling and well operations.
• Ensure effective planning and operation of surveillance and data acquisition, and data interpretation to evaluate well performance and reservoir characteristics.
• Supervise core and fluid analysis to be carried out in accordance with well specified procedures as well as ensure the validity and the consistency of the results.
• Initial/supervise/conduct studies to support reservoir properties and fluid uncertainties.
• Technical oversight and input into the petrophysical sections of FDP and FFR milestone reviews and coordination of FDP and FFR submissions
• Present proposal, results and give recommendations to team, Management, Partners, and/or stakeholder and participate in department annual budget planning.
• Effectively coordinate with geology, geophysics, production operations, well services and drilling by integrating their requirements in the well programming, formation evaluation and well completion.
• Ensure production and relevant petrophysics database is systematically set up and maintained with verification.
