Inspection Supervisor 
Site in Buliisa, Uganda
Starting Q3 2025 for a Duration 18 months
Rotational Assignment

WRS are looking for an experienced Inspection Supervisor to support the Tilenga upstream project. This role involves oversight of inspection and corrosion activities across a high-complexity pressure system and pipeline network, including a Central Processing Facility, LNG extraction plant, 29 wellpads, and an offshore water abstraction platform.

Your Mission
  • Plan, supervise, and execute inspection and corrosion monitoring in strict compliance with HSE, quality, and company policies.
  • Oversee Baseline Inspection development and supervise inspection contractors, ensuring adherence to international codes and standards.
  • Implement and manage Inspection Operations Tools, Lifting Inspection Management systems, and special tools procurement.
  • Supervise certification activities for pressure safety devices and maintain up-to-date inspection records via CMIMS.
  • Lead and mentor local junior Inspection Supervisors and support UPIK training.
  • Provide technical input for shut-down inspections, failure analysis, and QC inspections during modifications or repairs.
  • Ensure continual improvement of site integrity through structured inspection planning and feedback loops.
What We’re Looking For Qualifications
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Chemical).
  • Certified and experienced in NDT, welding inspection, and corrosion monitoring.
  • Strong command of inspection methods, codes, and industry standards (ASME, API, etc.).
Experience
  • Minimum 10 years in the oil & gas industry.
  • At least 6 years in multi-disciplinary inspection roles.
  • Proven leadership in site-based inspection coordination.
Skills
  • Deep knowledge of pressure vessels, piping, lifting equipment, and heat exchangers.
  • Proficiency in inspection tools and systems such as SAP and RBI.
  • Excellent English communication and reporting skills.
  • Strong HSE mindset and experience in environmentally sensitive areas.
