Job Opportunity: Senior Subsea Precommissioning Engineer – Paris & Angola | MOZ LNG
Project Contract Type: Freelance/Consultant (B2B or equivalent)
Location: Paris – La Défense (3 days/week minimum), with offshore rotations in Angola

Project Overview Join a key subsea engineering assignment within the MOZ LNG Project, supporting Technip Energies (N-Power) as a Senior Precommissioning Engineer. You’ll be embedded within the Subsea Installation Department, interfacing directly with client operations, vendors, and offshore execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a technical focal point between the project team and precommissioning subcontractors
• Review procedures and oversee the preparation and mobilisation of precommissioning equipment
• Coordinate and participate in offshore operations onboard installation vessels (Angola)
• Conduct inspection/testing missions (France/international)
• Monitor logistics for precommissioning operations and lead operational follow-up meetings
• Adjust execution plans in real-time in coordination with subcontractors
• Ensure quality, methodology, and planning standards in line with Technip Energies expectations

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in subsea precommissioning (umbilicals, flexible, and rigid pipelines)
• Strong experience in:
  
  • Subsea pressure/pump testing
  • Hydraulic and electrical testing
  • Completion system setup and management
  • Local site preparation for field execution
• Strong client-facing experience and interface management
• Familiarity with offshore procedures, vendor engagement, and logistical coordination
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Mobilisation & Travel

• Office presence in Paris – La Défense minimum 3 days/week from September–November
• Offshore campaign in Angola: 4–6 weeks duration (BOSIET required)
• Occasional travel in France and abroad for inspections/tests

Candidate Profile

• Fluent English (written & spoken)
• Autonomous, adaptable, resilient under pressure
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Valid BOSIET certification
