Location: Oman – Block 8 (Musandam)
Contract duration: 6 months

Experience Required

• Bachelor degree in engineering and safety science or equivalent or.
• National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH)
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
• Certified food safety level 3
• Certified lead auditor IMS.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as an HSE Advisor / Supervisor preferably in upstream operations (Offshore).
• Experienced in offshore drilling operations with a strong background in hydrocarbon processing, production facilities, and associated maintenance activities on offshore platforms and drilling rigs.
• Skilled in implementing and overseeing HSE practices during offshore drilling campaigns, construction projects, and marine logistics operations.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore occupational health and safety practices, including HSE Management Systems (HSE MS) tailored to offshore environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements applicable to offshore drilling, including API, IADC, OSHA, and IMO guidelines.
• Proficient in applying key safety concepts such as hazard identification and risk assessment, PPE management, dropped objects prevention, BBS (Behavior-Based Safety), working at height, confined space entry, and equipment safety specific to offshore operations.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting upstream oil and gas activities, particularly offshore exploration, well intervention, and rig operations.
• Actively involved in conducting offshore HSE audits, safety drills, and incident investigations to ensure operational compliance and continuous improvement.
• Trained and experienced in offshore emergency response procedures, including fire, explosion, man overboard, and platform evacuation scenarios
• Expertise in risk management systems such as HEMP analysis, and other tools.
• In-depth knowledge of safety-critical elements and processes for managing and maintaining critical systems and equipment.
• Experience with process industry risk management practices, including PHA, HAZID, and HAZOP.
