Field Security Superintendent - Kurdistan

On behalf of an independent oil & gas operator, WRS is seeking a highly experienced Field Security Superintendent to lead security operations across field sites in Kurdistan. The role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, secure, and compliant environments for personnel, assets, and infrastructure, particularly in high-risk and remote operational areas.

This role will be offered on a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 29/27 into country, paying a day rate in USD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all day-to-day security operations across multiple field locations, including drilling sites and pipelines.
  • Act as the senior field security authority, liaising directly with state-controlled security agencies and private contractors.
  • Manage access control systems, CCTV, IVMS, journey management, and security service providers.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans, evacuation protocols, and security drills.
  • Ensure security compliance with operational standards and policies.
  • Supervise a multi-disciplinary security team including coordinators and liaison officers.
  • Support the planning and execution of security-related infrastructure and civil works.
  • Maintain accurate Personnel On Board (POB) reporting and security logs.
  • Advise on local security threats and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with field leadership and the wider HSSE team on risk management and emergency response planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 15 years of credible experience in military, police, or government security services.
  • At least 5 years in oil and gas field security roles in challenging environments.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership position in an industrial setting.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • International experience and cultural adaptability are essential.
  • Valid driving license required.
