• Provide Mechanical discipline input to designated RTA3 control point deliverables per the Project Controls and Assurance Plan (PCAP).
• Ensure overall quality of assigned ATA3 control point deliverables.
• Escalate multi-discipline technical conflicts to Mechanical Static TA2.
• Support pre-DG3 project stages including opportunity framing, concept selection, and development of Basis of Design documents.
• Conduct and participate in site scoping surveys.
• Compile historical equipment data (specifications, vendor data, maintenance history).
• Ensure DEM1 & DEM2 requirements are incorporated into design specifications, especially rotating equipment safeguarding.
• Develop discipline input for equipment purchase specifications in alignment with BGC, API, ASME and other international standards.
• Specify design performance standards for safety-critical elements in design and commissioning documents.
• Participate in key assurance reviews: 3D Model Reviews, DSRs, HAZOP, SIL, constructability reviews, etc., including action close-outs.
• Conduct or review technical bid evaluations.
• Develop risk-based inspection (RBI) plans for assessing condition of in-service or out-of-service equipment.
• Evaluate equipment condition and recommend repair or replacement strategies.
• Review vendor documentation—drawings, datasheets, narratives—for compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure vendor documentation meets quality requirements for asset handover.
• Respond to vendor technical queries and review two-year operating spare parts lists.
• Attend vendor workshops for inspections and FAT when necessary.
• Provide technical support to design contractors.
• Provide site presence during construction and commissioning for guidance, inspections, SATs, and technical query resolution.
• Periodically review and recommend updates to Mechanical discipline standards.
• Support Asset teams during turnaround events on refurbishments and major equipment overhauls.
• Coach and support graduate Mechanical engineers.
• Attend training and development activities as per the Individual Development Plan (IDP).

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• Associate Membership of IMechE or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical static equipment design, maintenance, or technical support within the oil & gas industry.
• Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal).
