Job Purpose
Job holder is for now planned to be assigned to RUYA EPCIC12 offshore brownfield scope
Act as onsite offshore SLS to plan and oversee all CTR lifting operations
Promote safe handling and lifting operation referring COMPANY HSE policy and international standard
Ensure that adequate supervision and oversight is provided by onshore yard and offshore SLS for lifting operations and that improvements are recorded and implemented for future work activities
Ensures the promotion implementation of Company Lifting Handling procedures and safety culture on sites is undertaken
Participates in the definitions of the Company Lifting Handling procedures and leads in the internal audits on behalf of company CPLO and project management at CTRs facilities
Ensure that all lifting operations are appropriately planned and technically evaluated based on their level of complexity and risk
Undertake review and follow acceptance process regarding lifting equipment inclusive of fixed lifting systems and ensure FAT subsequent certification design and verification process is followed acceptable in line with CPY procedural requirements as well as recognized onshore offshore marine standards
Ensure that at all assigned sites during planning preparation stage that a thorough in depth technical review is undertaken to ensure that all rigging accessories appliances and associated equipment meets the company procedures and recognized standards
Ensure that CTR supplies suitable trained and experienced personnel as per CPY standards
Inspect the main installation vessels for acceptance prior to mobilization to site location and ensure that lifting equipment in in compliance with company procedural standard requirements
Undertake the vessel crane loose lifting appliance and accessories audits inspection as required to ensure that they meet applicable standards of inspection maintenance and traceability
Job holder will be based offshore in Qatar
Possibility of onshore missions to follow-up project development and EPCIC execution with various
contractors.
The job holder will have to cooperate teams of all related discipline leads/Supervisors for Brownfield to monitor offshore preparation readiness and ICAPS progress.
Accountabilities
Assess, analyze, plan and adjust lifting operations in line with COMPANY procedural requirements
Advise Contractor’s objectives and expectations for HSE, accountability and performance of Lifting
Activity
Maintain systematic and methodological approach to Lifting Operations, support and assist
Company CPLO by establishing reliable system of documentation, processes, and personnel competency assurance.
Ensure flawless operation of Lifting and continuous improvement during offshore installation campaign.
Provide technical support appraisal and input to CTR,s lifting and handling operations regarding planning, equipment suitability and compliance with COMPANY company procedures and internationally recognized standards.
Lease closely with company CPLO to ensure lifting operations are undertaken in compliance with company requirements and recognized standards
ACTIVITIES
Provide technical expertise in daily handling & lifting activities including Categorization of lifts
Risk assessment and hazard identification in line with criticality of the lifting operation
Selection of equipment for lifting operations
Attendance at lifting toolbox talks when on site
Post-job debriefs
Assessment of completed jobs
Promote safe handling and safe lifting operations in line with COMPANY HSE policies and international recognized standards, review engineering calculations and provide technical feedback for complicated and complex critical lifting activities.
Review complicated and complex lift plans and attend the critical lifting activities on behalf of company CPLO and management to ensure safe execution
Perform condition & compliance checks and fitness for purpose reviews on lifting
appliances, lifting accessories, CCUs, and evaluate their acceptance based on utilization on site.
To be Involved with planed internal audits of the lifting operations, participate in lifting operations incident investigation and analyses if and when required FMA
Qualification and experience
Minimum 10 years in the lifting & handling industry at supervisory level
Offshore jacket / topside installation experience preferred
Technical Engineer and / or Industry related qualifications such as OPITO / LEEA / EAL / CPA etc.
Broad and extensive knowledge in handling & lifting appliance & operations
Working to International standards such as: BS, LOLER, etc.!
Experienced in Oil & Gas Industry
Worked in onshore & offshore operations
Have working profile such as: Rigger * Rigger Foreman * Rigging Supervisor * Lifting
Supervisor * Lifting Superintendent SLS
Risk assessment in relation to health, safety & environment
Supervision of critical and heavy lifts
Planning of critical and non-critical lifts
Experience in training and coaching is preferred
H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings
