Job Description

The Well Construction Operator is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery to customers at the wellsite. This role supports field operations by preparing tools, performing manual tasks, ensuring proper equipment handling, and assisting maintenance teams. The operator also plays a key role in maintaining safety standards and identifying opportunities to improve service quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely job deliverables.
  • Participate in pre‑job and toolbox meetings with crew members.
  • Maintain equipment in safe and compliant working condition; report any issues or deviations.
  • Ensure personal and crew safety at all times.
  • Prepare equipment for rig‑up and rig‑down operations.
  • Perform manual tasks involved in tool preparation.
  • Execute rig‑up and rig‑down of equipment and sensors.
  • Operate equipment according to competency level and job requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and engineers, whether onsite or remotely.
  • Act as Crew Leader when designated by the supervisor.
  • Wear required PPE and adhere to all HSE policies.
  • Maintain all required safety training and certifications.
  • Promote collaboration and teamwork across business lines.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in wellsite operations, field operations, or related oilfield service roles.
  • Proven ability to rig up and rig down equipment and sensors safely and efficiently. 
  • Skilled in performing manual tasks involved in tool preparation for wellsite operations. 
  • Ability to operate wellsite equipment according to competency level and job requirements. 
  • Strong understanding of and adherence to HSE policies, including PPE usage and safe operating standards. 
  • Ability to maintain safe, compliant working order of equipment, reporting any problems or deviations promptly. 
  • Capable of participating in pre‑job and toolbox safety meetings and maintaining all required safety training.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate with supervisors and engineers both onsite and remotely.
