Design of telecommunication system (Radio Communication System, Security System, Navigation Aids, Wired Communication)

• Preparation of drawings
• Preparation of specifications for procurement of equipment
• Develop detailed system design with diagrams and schematics.
• Selection of telecom equipment
• Develop bulk material listings
• Provide input for preparation of selected reports, weight, equipment list,
• function and fabrication / installation
• Coordination with other disciplines
• Professional responsibility

Main principal duties:

• Participate in all engineering phases:
• Feasibility
• Concept
• Feed
• Detailed
• Understand and interpret requirements from customers and authorities.
• Clarify design certification with customers and 3rd party.

Minor tasks/areas of responsibility:

• Participation in customer visits and –contact
• Participation in technical project meetings

System Knowledge (Must have experience in at least one of the following categories):

1. Radio Communication Systems: GMDSS, Microwave Radio, SCADA Radio, Trunked Radio,

Crane Radio, Radio Dispatch, Satellite Phone

1. Security Systems: Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, PABX (VoIP), Person On

Board (POB)

1. Navigation Aids: Radar, ECDIS, Auto Pilot, AIS, DGPS, LRIT, Compass, Echo Sounder, Speed

Log, VDR, Navigation & Obstruction Lights, RACON, Fog Horn, BNWAS, VSAT, Entertainment System, EMS

1. Wired Communication: PAGA, Page Party, Talk Back, Smart Series, Driller, PABX (Analog),
