Job Title - Senior Data Scientist 
Location - Bengaluru

This role is about using data, statistics, and machine learning to solve real business problems in the oil and gas industry. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work with large and complex data to help the business make better decisions, improve operations, and drive innovation.
What you will do

• Use statistics and scientific methods to build reliable and understandable models.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models that run in real production environments.
• Work on problems like time‑series forecasting, anomaly detection, optimisation, and neural networks.
• Build apps, dashboards, or APIs so business and engineering teams can easily use your models.
• Use AWS cloud services to deploy and scale ML solutions.
• Monitor deployed models to ensure they stay accurate and perform well over time.
• Work with data from operations, engineering systems, IoT devices, and cloud platforms while following security and governance standards.
• Clearly explain insights, results, and limitations to both technical teams and senior business leaders.
• Create clear documentation so models and processes can be reused and maintained.
• Improve data science best practices and processes.
• Mentor junior data scientists and support their technical growth.

What skills and experience are needed

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a data scientist.
• Strong experience in end‑to‑end data science projects (from data to production).
• Expertise in time‑series modelling, forecasting, clustering, and predictive modeling.
• Good understanding of machine learning and AI (deep learning, neural networks, CV/OCR is a plus).
• Strong Python skills and experience with ML libraries and at least one deep learning framework.
• Experience building apps or APIs for ML solutions.
• Strong exposure to AWS cloud services.
• Experience in the oil & gas or resources industry is preferred.
• Ability to manage projects, prioritize work, and influence business decisions using data.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• A quantitative education background (Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, etc.).
